Curious explorer of the world, working to make it better
Emergency physician since 2003. Cofounder of Scandinavia's first ketamine clinic and the first public ketamine treatment unit in the Norwegian hospital system.
Topics I explore
From Evidence to Practice
Available as keynote talks and workshops
Over 50 randomized controlled trials support ketamine for depression. The challenge is no longer whether it works, but how to deliver it safely, accessibly, and at scale. Drawing on a decade of building treatment programs in both private and public settings.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Available as keynote talks and panel discussions
1,000+ treatments across three clinics since 2018. We combine ketamine with structured psychotherapy for treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, addiction, and eating disorders.
The Nordic Model
Available as keynote talks and fireside conversations
Norway became the first country to approve national public reimbursement for generic ketamine treatment. This is how we built the clinical infrastructure that made it possible.
Emergency Medicine in Space
Available as keynote talks and fireside conversations
Before ketamine, I studied how to perform emergency medical procedures in microgravity. A detour into space medicine at the Institute for Biomedical Problems in Moscow that shaped how I think about working at the edges of what is known.
“His leadership culminated in a historic milestone: Norway became the first country worldwide to include racemic ketamine in national treatment guidelines with public healthcare funding.”
